Death Note (Manga) Full Review

“I’m Justice!” – L & Kira

In Death Note, you got to see two geniuses who believe they represent Justice (such a self-conceited idea). One of them called himself as a God of the new world, and another one just wants another challenge to satisfy his lust for challenge.

What makes this Death Note so interesting? Unlike many others, Death Note is detailed, full of meaningful chatters that always set the course of the manga.

You don’t see that a lot. Most of the time, manga doesn’t have anything meaningful to say but this one, oh boy… it full with adventure.

From start to the end, it contains an “ingredient” that makes this story so good. Every time Kira’s enemy die, he got another enemy. From L to Near and Mellon. The story is dark and if you hate seeing a Death god, don’t bother reading this manga. It just won’t suit you.

What I don’t like is Kira itself. He sucks. I just hate the very reason that he wants to act as God of the new world. He kills almost everyone that stand in his way, including his father and sister. I just can’t accept that kind of action.

Death Note currently ranks 17 in Onemanga.com. That proves how popular this manga is, given the fact that it was finished last year (I think).

I’ve never been into manga (not sure why), but I’ve seen Death Note anime show. It started off pretty good, but then I lost track in an attempt to keep up with the Blood Plus show. I may decide to review it some time in the future.
