Reverend Jeremiah Wright Attention Whore?

Welcome back!

Just watched The Daily Show and The Colbert Report dated 29th and 30th of April and I find both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert love Jeremiah Wright! Can’t blame ‘em ya know. This man is really a good target for them and I hope they enjoyed it. :D

Anyway, is Rev. Jeremiah Wright an attention whore? I mean, he probably wants attention so much that he does anything he really wants to do to get ‘em.

He accused

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, not God Bless America. God damn America — that’s in the Bible — for killing innocent people. God damn America, as long as she pretends to act like she is God, and she is supreme. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent.”

He also states:

“The government lied about the Tuskegee experiment. They purposely infected African American men with syphilis. Governments lie. The government lied about bombing Cambodia and Richard Nixon stood in front of the camera, ‘Let me make myself perfectly clear…’ Governments lie. The government lied about the drugs for arms Contra scheme orchestrated by Oliver North, and then the government pardoned all the perpetrators so they could get better jobs in the government. Governments lie. The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. Governments lie. The government lied about a connection between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein and a connection between 9.11.01 and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Governments lie.”

I wonder why in this world he lives in America when he hates American government so much. Was he trying to say that, “I love my country but I hate the one who runs it. And I really hate them”?

Whatever. All I know he’s an attention deficit person who desperately needs to get some.

I wonder what he (Rev. Jeremiah Wright) will says after this. Bashing Jon and Stephen? I hope so!

I think Wright picked people up where they stood, and to get into touch with them he had to use their voice.

If he is called a hate monger now, this misses one big point. He is a Christian minister and in the same breath he will tell people that they are not allowed to use force, or kill ever.

Probably. I don’t know if he’s really serving his purpose as the Christian minister or no because all I’ve seen from him is… bad things.
